Jackson's First Day of Preschool

Today Jackson officially started "3 Year Old Preschool".  He was not so excited to be going (he never is happy to go to daycare, never has been), but he did come home excited and "Mommy, I had so much fun!".  On his first day he painted, read stories, played outside, and learned about apples.  He also talked about his big fish and made sure all of his classmates knew he caught a big North-erin. :)

 Look at that face...

I just went to one of my favorite Blogs... Prudent Baby and found out that I had WON the Fabric Friday Giveway!  So stinking exciting, because I only sign up for giveaways that I REALLY want to win and this one is for a yard of cute elephant fabric!  That is Maxwell's birthday theme and I thought, "How Perfect"!  And I WON, did I mention that I WON??

 If you don't believe me...

Fishy, Fishy, Fishy

On Sunday, Jackson and Andy went to do a little fishing - mostly to get Jackson out of the house.  They came home with 2- 25 inch Northern!!  Jackson has been talking non-stop about going fishing, catching Northern, scary and mean fish (they have big teeth & sharp fins).

It was luck of Jackson, because they were packing up to come home and Jackson reeled in his 25 inch Northern.

Bugs Bite!

We spent the weekend (2 weeks ago) "camping" in our camper this past weekend.  We had a splendid and fun time having cousins (Aubrey & Elise) come to visit and play in the river- their first time!  Both nights were late and we were all tuckered out by Saturday night!  But it was worth it!!

Unfortunately during all the in-out during the day some (maybe a hoard) mosquitoes got into the boys area of the camper... they both got tons of bites on their faces, Jackson got a bunch on his hands.  Luckily they were both wearing long sleeves and pants to bed.  Poor babies!  The bites look awful!  Luckily they don't seem to be itchy and they are not scratching them.

Cousin Visit

This is a couple of weeks late, but better late than never!  We had a great time with Andy's older brother & his family.  It was an impromptu visit, but it turns out those can be the best!  The boys and kids had a great time boating and playing together and the mommies got some gabbing time in - found out our husbands say almost identical things about work... hmmm.  ;)  Here are a few picture highlights...

These 4 just DON'T believe in letting us get a good picture... but they are all in the picture.

The Moore Girls had their FIRST Mississippi river experience, Aubrey had NO fear!

Uncle Andy had to get her moving toward the shore.
After a hard day on the river... ice cream from the ice cream man is the way to go!
